What a great weekend again for horse racing at Churchill Downs. The Winning Colors and the Mint Julep stakes highlighted the card for Saturday but it was the big prices that made the weekend oh so special. We posted Friday our picks and a few long shot plays. Our picks cashed on 8/11 races with us picking the upset in the Winning Colors with Bells the One upsetting heavy favorite Mia Mischief. We cashed a $107 exacta bet and the $75 trifecta bet. In the following race we also selected What a Country as a long shot play and hit the exacta in this race paying us $357, unfortunately we was a horse short of the trifecta that paid over $1,300. Along with the long shot plays hitting we also had some favorite come across the wire first as well, but we was beat out of each pick 4 and 5 buy a long shot we left off our tickets. We also was able to cash on a double for these races where it paid $197. With us not hitting the big pick 4 or pick 5 we still managed to have a fantastic day in the gains.
